I Self Devine - Sweat Equity.
Love some Minneapolis hip hop. This man is an amazing organizer and leader in the neighborhood I lived and worked in, making great things happen both artistically and politically.
Doomtree - Bolt Cutters
I love some Minneapolis hip hop and Doomtree does it especially well. I mean who wouldn’t love a Minneapolis rap collective that puts a loon call in their song (the loon is the Minnesota state bird)? However I will say I am disappointed that they clearly filmed this in Brooklyn.
yep. This is ALL Midtown! from Illuminous 3.
Awww, Phillips love. Missing my old neighborhood and city.

“And I refuse to let past bruises cover the light
It ain’t all good, but it’s all good enough, so I know I’m alright
Agony is truth, it’s our connection to the living
And I accept it as perfection and keep on existingin the Now”
RIP Eyedea
A great Minneapolis hip hop artist gone WAY too soon at 28.
