(via Urban Harvest: a Benefit and Celebration for the Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project)
The Hell’s Kitchen Farm Project is celebrating its first growing season and would like you to join us to sustain this project’s work in growing local food pantries’ vegetables.
Join us for a night of bluegrass music, tours of the rooftop farm, drinks, food, and conversation.  Silent auction items will be available from a variety of great places.
Tickets available online at the link above and here.
RSVP to our Facebook event here.
A personal note: This collaborative Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood organization has been my entire life since I moved to NYC and began food justice and anti-hunger work here.  From our small beginnings sitting around a table having a conversation about food justice and access to United Way taking a chance on a rag tag group of small organizations to the 60+ volunteers who hauled 7 tons of soil to the roof and the countless pigeons who proved insatiable but eventually manageable, it’s been quite a year and a half.  Because we are a start up, we depend almost completely on individuals to sustain us into the future.  Even if you cannot make it, PLEASE consider donating.  (And hey, reblog it!)
